The window of opportunity has opened for me to finally give an update for you all. I really don’t want to cram up this blog entry with details, so I’ll try my best to chop things up in bits and pieces from everything that has happened since February.
I must confess that I had difficulty thinking of a theme to build upon for this update. Apart from the gazillion beautiful things that has been happening (maybe including Leonardo Di Caprio winning his very first Oscar 😂), the heavenly downloads keep pouring, not only for me but for the rest of us here in Vigan House of Prayer.
Last February 25, the day intended to commemorate the EDSA Revolution, we instead set it apart as a day to gather as one Body here in Ilocos Region. The event is called CONSECRATE; an 8-hour gathering to fast, worship and pray, partnering with Jesus in calling out His desires and intentions for this region as a covenant agreement with the Bride of Christ in Ilocos.
The Lord visited indeed and made manifest His presence. We knew that when we started worshiping and interceding as one , something broke, something shifted in the spirit. Jesus was glorified and He took His rightful place, as we declared His sovereignty over the whole region. It was indeed a blessed time for everyone.
Great things have also been happening in both our Youth and Campus Ministry (Chi Alpha) altogether. Every Tuesday Youth Nights, the Lord’s been faithful in ministering to the hearts of the young people here. And for our Discipleship Group gatherings in the campus every Wednesdays (University of the Northern Philippines), more than the feeding and the Word we receive, it’s really the fellowship we share and the encouragement from each other that binds and strengthens this community. All the more we are discovering that Discipleship goes beyond the ideal small group meetings but it is truly all about building relationships, sharing life together, Jesus being the center of it all. We’re also so blessed to have Indian nationals joining us every week in our gatherings. I know that the Lord is beginning to awaken our hearts to the reality that His house, His Bride, His church, is intended and purposed for ALL nations.
Just last weekend, my church family here, Capital Christian Center, celebrated it’s 25th Year Anniversary. What a breakthrough! I am simply amazed at how a church can stand all that it’s been through (both good and tough times) for the past 25 years, and I can only think of His faithfulness as the sustaining truth for this beautiful reality. As His Word says, unless the Lord builds the house, its laborers labor in vain– And because it is the Lord who has begun a good work in this spiritual family, He will be the One to sustain, strengthen and finish what He has begun. We will finish strong with Him! As we cross over the 25-year mark, as we enter a new season of His goodness, I believe we are looking at brighter, better days and yet expectant of the deeper things of His heart. I am confident that in His faithfulness and love, He will always cause His mercy and goodness to follow and chase Capital Christian Center, even for the next decades to come.
We’re more than honored as well to have special guest speakers during the anniversary. Ptr. Hiram Pangilinan of Church So Blessed and Mrs. Angelu De Leon- Rivera graced the said celebration. Both of them really brought the house down! They are both walking testimonies of lives that are fully sold out to living His purposes in this generation. Their obedience and love to the Lord are worth emulating.
It is with joy and gladness of heart that I’m telling you now how blessed and thankful I am at how Abba has brought the House of Prayer here from season to season with fresh revelations; in going deep, altogether learning the beauty of abiding. As a community and individually, I believe we are entering in a season of Isaiah 54:2-3:
“Make your tent BIGGER; STRETCH it out and make it WIDER. DO NOT HOLD BACK. Make the ropes LONGER and its stakes STRONGER, because you will SPREAD OUT to the right and to the left. Your children will TAKE OVER other nations, and they will again live in cities that once were destroyed.”
Isaiah 54:2-3 NCV
I believe that the Lord is readying our hearts for the next season. This will not be the time to hold back, but allowing Him to take charge and do what He loves to do. Everything is do-able for Him! With the things that we are believing the Lord for– a new place, wholehearted volunteers, equipping and empowering the existing workforce we have, and the upcoming big gatherings and conferences, we know that more than the passion that we have, we need wisdom from above to carefully be in step with His plans. Also, above and beyond our goals, we only seek the One Thing that our hearts yearn for: Beholding and communing with Jesus, The Beautiful Man seated at the right hand of the Father.
Please do continue to partner with us in prayer & if you receive revelation from Abba to sow in what He is doing here, especially now that we are preparing for the upcoming Burning Hearts Conference Philippines that we are hosting this coming May 17-19. Feel free to reach us at( Registration is ongoing!):
We are excited for this gathering of Burning Hearts! To simply state it, we do not want another conference, but we are believing the Lord for an infilling of His desires and an awakening of hearts to His purposes in this city–with clear emphasis on Intimacy and preparing the way for His return. As we burn incense on the altar of our hearts,we will partner with Him in building Him a dwelling place and releasing His love to the people around us in this region and our nation, the Philippines. We covet your prayers, beloveds! Thank you!
On a personal note, I have no words to express of how good of a Father He is. I always say that and it may sound cliche, but the reality is, He never fails to show me glimpses of His goodness. And I tell you, tasting and seeing how good He is–this is our portion! The truth is, friends, I still catch myself being in a state of amazement about the fact that me being here is super surreal, and yes, it still does feel like a dream. But don’t get me wrong, it just goes to show that what we think impossible, Abba can actually make it happen. There is nothing too hard for Him, and He will gladly accomplish what He has set His heart to do. And He loves it when we agree, and joyfully partner with Him in utmost obedience. In this current season of my journey, I am still learning how to lean and depend on my Father for everything, and it has been an adventure. He is so good!
Beloved Partners and Friends, as you all have been informed, I am sure to go to Penang, Malaysia for the Burn Internship by the end of this month! *happy dance* And this is tangibly possible now because of your heart-warming generosity and desire to see our Heavenly Father move, change and transform lives. I am wrecked by your enthusiasm, willingness and love to sow in what the Lord is doing in my life and what He is doing through me. All my gratitude goes out to all of you; thank you for believing and cheering me on. You don’t know how deeply encouraged I am with your support and partnership. You can still check out details about the Internship through this site: www.penhop.org . I will be updating everyone when I get there. Pray with me that the one month of being there would cause me to hunger for more; and that my heart will be in constant alignment to His will. I desire nothing less than the beauty of knowing Jesus and His excellencies.
Love And Gratitude to you all!
Lastly, I pray for everyone reading this that you would daily embrace your identity in Abba as His sons and daughters. We can boldly come in confidence before Him knowing that He delights in us, and He loves to hear our voice! We were made to commune with our Father, and cultivate intimacy with Him,His Son– may this be a reality to you; a truth that you would seek to live out. You were made for fullness and for Love Himself.
“Now may God himself, the God of peace, make you pure, belonging only to him. May your whole self—spirit, soul, and body—be kept safe and without fault when our Lord Jesus Christ comes. You can trust the One who calls you to do that for you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”
