It has begun.

Beloved Friends, Family and Vision Partners,

Let me first declare that we have a Good, Good Father in Heaven! He is indeed Faithful and True!

Before I go on with the updates, I’d like to share a poem I wrote earlier today as I was reflecting on this journey of mine:

In the solitude of my quaint space,

I revel in the depths of His grace.

I still am in deep wonder at times,

How He has brought me

to where I am now.

Digging through my memories,

decades past of being enlisted in such divine service,

I never once thought or dreamed of being where I am now.

Yet, I slowly discover that He has always gone before me. He knows the way to go..

And what does a sheep do, but follow.

I heard Him speak.

This restlessness began to grow, but understanding I am weak,

Should I still go?

Days passed and He started speaking..

Loudly.

With authority, yet He spoke so tenderly.

He downloaded visions, and dreams,

But more so a desire He started to birth in.

He planted a seed in my spirit, a glimpse of His heart for a City that I have yet to love.

I gave in in sweet surrender,

Knowing in my heart that with me

He will faithfully partner.

His provision followed,

His grace and unrelenting love He consistently showed.

So I left my father’s house and everything I have loved and known.

I said I will waste my life for this cause;

For the Beauty of His Son, nothing is lost.

I began this journey of leaning on my Beloved, not knowing what lies ahead,

But daily believing and trusting all the promises He has said.

No, I wasn’t like Jonah called to preach salvation to a wicked city,

Neither was I like Ezekiel, called to day in and day out prophesy to a whole nation..

I’m more like that woman who has experienced a certain kind of death, clung on to her mother-in-law,her only known family.

Desperate to go wherever she goes,

Where she lives, she will live.

A foreigner she came,

Having nothing to boast,

Not riches, not even fame.

Knowing her position, she steadfastly did what she knew she had to do.

She went to the fields and gleaned through.

She embraced this season with open arms,

Daily loving the community where she’s at.

She knows she just can’t survive, but to live peacefully among them and beautifully thrive.

And so this chapter is not yet done, for it has merely just begun.

Journey with me, will you..

Pray along, please do.

My heart is all the more expectant of how My Beloved will lead the way..

Here where I am now.

And so my journey has indeed begun. It has been more than two weeks since I arrived. I can’t stop thanking Abba for all of you that has committed to partner with me both in finances and in prayer. As you have said yes to this partnership, join me in grateful celebration of His Faithfulness today!

Since I got here, there never was a day that I did not feel welcomed at all. The people here, specifically the spiritual family that I currently belong to (Capital Christian Center) received me with open arms and have made me feel like part of their family. This was one of the things that I asked of the Lord, that He’ll make me part of a community where I can enjoy fellowship, be involved, grow in my walk with Jesus, be loved on and love on others.

Had the beautiful privilege of speaking in one of their services on my First Sunday here.

With the leaders from different churches after a set at The House of Prayer.

These are some of the girls from church that  I have started to bond with. They also faithfully attend the House of Prayer sets everyondays and Thursdays.

As per adjustments, the dialect is not a problem–no, I have not learned to speak it yet (Maybe a few words, yes.), but we communicate quite well with our Tagalog language. I have started to meet the leaders in their Youth Ministry and got to know them a bit. I have been gaining momentum and have gradually put my hand on the plow. Although definitely I still have a lot to learn and adjust to but His grace is more than enough. I am simply enjoying the journey, daily leaning on my Good Shepherd.

One of the most creative girls I know here,Micah is a bright and shining lamp. She has leadership and is definitely a voice in her generation.

This is Gene Rose, one of the key leaders in Capital Christian Center. I got to bond with her on my first Sunday here and got the chance to take a peek at their Radio Ministry (How awesome is that?!)

Post service groufie with these young women.

Among other things, I have moved in a new place (Glory to Jesus!); a quiet, quaint house all to myself with wooden furnitures that I absolutely love.

Just to let you all in why I am actually here in Vigan City, the Lord has purposed in my heart to stand alongside the leaders here to help them pioneer the House of Prayer. Beginning summer of last year, the Lord has increased the desire in my heart to build Him a dwelling place in our nation and in my city; but the Lord does move in ways unfathomable. As He intensified this dream in my spirit to see incense rise in every key city in this nation, He laid this beautiful burden in my heart to help here in Vigan City. After much seeking and leaning closely to His heart, here I am. Here we are.

Fast forward, I am currently submitting to the leadership of James Lee Lacaden (Director, Vigan House of Prayer), and being of help to him in the current set-up of the House of Prayer here. Since I am also involved in the local church,I am also helping out in their Youth Ministry and Campus Outreaches (Chi Alpha).

This is Jeanine, one of the laid down lovers in this House. She is a carrier of His presence and she leads worship beautifully!

Here we are setting up the additional carpet for the House of Prayer. I love humble beginnings. Indeed great things start from them.

I am amazed as well at how the young people here have taken ownership of what was entrusted to them. Having attended their Youth Night for the past two weeks (being held every Tuesday nights here at Capital Christian Center), I can say that I am privileged to be a part of what the Lord is doing in their midst. I’m glad that they are open to suggestions and they are definitely all about bettering their best.

Here are the young hearts attending the Connect Groups every Wednesdays; they bless my heart with their passion to know more of Jesus!

That’s about all the updates I have for now. I’ll be keeping everyone posted again within the next few weeks. Abba just daily grips my heart by allowing me to see the opportunities to offer my help in the House of Prayer and the Youth Ministry here.

In behalf of Vigan House of Prayer, we’d love for you to partner with us in Intercession. Here are some prayer items you can help us run with in Prayer:

> That God would raise up more wholehearted lovers that can lead alongside the current leaders in The House of Prayer

> That the Lord would increase the hunger of the young people attending the sets for Intimacy with Jesus

>Provision for the monthly expenses (Rental, Utilities, etc.) of The House of Prayer

> That Leaders would be raised up as well in the campuses that would in turn lead more Connect Groups

>Wisdom, strength, favor, and steadfastness, over the leaders in The House of Prayer, especially for the Director

So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:9-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Know that I am deeply grateful to all of you, Beloveds, for journeying with me. The Lord bless you greatly, above and beyond you can ever think or imagine. Shalom!
